15A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior 1.) My three interviews were fellow business students that i gave a call. Three guys, two of them live on campus one off campus. 2.) Begin with alternative evaluation: The off campus student right away said he uses the bus to get to school and doesn't need parking. The bus isn't as convenient for him but it is free and you cant beat free. With a college students budget he said he wouldn't pay a lot of money to have his car being parked close to campus. One of the on campus students said he keeps his car in his hometown and would like to keep it here. He said he would pay for the semester to keep it close by campus for his convenience. The other off campus student said he parks his car on campus and doesn't see/use any other alternatives. 3.) In my interviews no one said they buy another service/product. The off campus student uses the bus but it is free. It would probably be my biggest competitor because you ca...

14A - Halfway Reflection 1.) Tenaciousness is a competency - I have learned to make a steady schedule at the beginning of the course that you will follow for the semester. This course is straight forward and if you just make a routine schedule it will be really easy for you. For me I wake up an hour earlier every day and just knock out whatever homework for this course. 2.) Tenaciousness is also about attitude - This course is set up in a very different manner than most. It takes multiple readings of the syllabus the first week to completely understand what to do. At the beginning I missed a step and tried to make my point to the professor. I wouldn't say I was about to "give up" but it was frustrating he wasn't listening to what I was saying. So for future students just make sure you follow every single step correctly even the first week because there is a strict policy. 3.) Three tips - (1) Wake up an hour early 2-4 days a week and knock this course ...

13A: Reading Reflection No. 1 I chose to read: Grinding It Out: The Making of McDonald's, Ray Kroc 1.) I was surprised that Ray Kroc is the one who pretty much stole McDonald's. I did admire the fact that he started out as a milkshake machine sales person and worked his way up to a billion dollar company owner. Then again his path to that outcome pretty much resulted in him stealing the business and giving the McDonald's brothers no chance. In a sense he was a THEIF. Of course he felt failure. He started out selling milkshake machines and was just about to quit because it was too hard. His end result in selling the machines resulted in FAILURE. Before that he was selling cups and didn't make one sale. His adversity in the sales business also played a huge role. 2.) I noticed that Ray Kroc had the personality. Starting out as a salesman you need to be a hustler. His ability to grow his personality is what made him be able to make the decisions i...

12A: Figuring out Buyer Behavior Segment: College Parking Three Interviewees: (1) College Student (2) College Student (3) Parent Need Awareness: The first two interviews went pretty similar. Both students said they ride a scooter around campus. I asked them how do they get to and from their hometown and they both said they grab rides from one of their friends. The first interviewee said they would pay to keep their car around campus if they had the opportunity, while the other said they wouldn't waste their money. Student 2 did say she lives off campus and takes the bus to class every Monday, Wednesday, Friday (last semester), and possible would have just paid for a parking space to drive there instead of taking the bus. The parent said he never had an issue with parking. He helped his son move into the dorm and was able to just park on the side of the street while they move in. He did say he likes the idea of storing his sons car somewhere off campus so he can ...

11A: Idea Napkin No. 1 Me: I am a college student at the University of Florida. My skills are working with all different kinds of people and relating with them them differently and being liked upon all. I have extensive experience in the restaurant industry working in it since I way 15 (I am 20 now). My aspirations are to work hard, period. As of right now I do not know exactly what I want to do, but my plan is to figure it out within the next two years and work super hard at what it is I love to do. If this business unfolded in my favor I could see a great daily life for myself. Running the ParkBuddy app I would be dealing with a bunch of people and having to create great relationships to make everyone apart of the team happy. What am I offering to customers: I am offering peer to peer parking where people can make money renting out their empty parking spaces from people around the area who need a guaranteed parking space at a reasonable price. Who am I offering it t...

9A: Testing Hypothesis Part 2 According to the five interviewees I have summarized the information for the following paragraphs: Who: Yes there are people outside the boundary. This is because when having a peer-to-peer transaction occur there more often than not is a third part that wither helps the business be conducted, or helps themselves promote the business at their own benefit. What: The essence of finding parking fulfills the problem of being late or paying too much to get parking. But people can be using this to store their car somewhere safe while they go out drinking for the night or store it there because it is in a better neighborhood. When it starts crossing the line of safety matters is where the need differs. Why: Yes the need is different. The need is to promote themselves rather than to alleviate the hassle of parking. People Looking for Parking People Lending Parking People Advertising Parking With ...

8A: Solving the Problem The opportunity I am emphasizing is creating available parking around crowed areas. The first market I would will be targeting would be Gainesville, around UF area. Parking is always a hassle, whether it be storing your car somewhere for the semester, going to class, or going to study/an event. The solution to this problem is an airbnb platform for parking. People who live in the houses right next to campus can put their empty spaces up for rent and people looking for spots around the area can book them. This is a peer-to-peep parking app which enables the service to solve the problem of parking. Not only homeowners, but businesses as well can take advantage of this too. Basically "Lenders" will advertise their spot at a price they choose and "Users" of the app can open the app up and quickly book that spot. This would allow people to book long term parking for the semester or just find a place near the stadium within walking d...
