7A: Testing the Hypothesis Part 1 1.) The opportunity I want to pursue is the idea for creating a more efficient way of parking around crowded areas. 2.) To narrow it down, I want to target short-term and long-term parking for people who need this parking around college campuses. Who - Students, faculty, family, friends, and visitors that are around the campus for a given period of time. What - There is always a hassle to find parking. Either on game day, to keep your car somewhere for the semester, or for families and friends who want to come visit for a day or a weekend. Why - Parking around campus is limited and towing companies make a fortune because of it. People everyday can not find parking around campus because of the mass amount of people in one area. 3.) Testing the who: Other people do have this need. People around the world face the difficulty of finding parking. People that visit ballgames, crowded beaches, airports and downtowns. ...

5A: Identifying Local Opportunities 1. Title: Concerns Emerge as school district looks to hire security Link: http://www.heraldtribune.com/news/20180528/concerns-emerge-as-school-district-looks-to-hire-security Description: This article is about a school security situation in my hometown, Sarasota. 4A: Forming an Opportunity Belief I believe that it is possible to find parking around campus anytime throughout the day easier than it is right now. The need is having the ability to find parking space whether your visiting campus or going to class or to study. The people who have this need are students, friends, family, and visitors that visit the campus. The need came from people being towed or being aggravated from a parking violation or being super late to a scheduled meeting. People now either risk the chance of getting a parking ticket/getting towed or students take the bus. I am 100% positive this need is not met and it is still out there for an opportunity to prevail. Prototypical customer #1: Family member Prototypical customer #2: Former classmate Prototypical customer #3: Former classmate By talking with my parents, they believe in the opportunity as well. When moving me into college, of course they wanted to go explore the campus a...

3A: Your Entrepreneurship Story I actually have a few entrepreneurship stories to tell. First of all entrepreneurship runs within my indirect family. My uncle (not blood related) bought an existing software company, and built it to be worth a lot of money. He sold it and has retired ever since. My uncle is very close with my family, every holiday we get together and have dinner. I see him usually once every two to three months. This allows me to have personal touch with the entrepreneurial mindset and to have someone close by if I have any questions or a new idea. My uncle also helped a friend out to start a restaurant. The restaurant is located in my hometown and I have worked there for the last 5 years (off and on because of college). This has also allowed me to be family friends with the owner and to obtain a more personal perspective on what its like to run a business. My last experience is with the entrepreneurship club. I was sitting next to a millionaire which after the meeti...

2A: Bug List Noticing lights that have been left on in rooms that nobody is in at home. Why - Because people either never were taught to turn them off or have a habit of forgetting it a lot. Not being able to find parking around campus. Why - There are 50,000 students around campus and thousands of employees and contractors, if parking wasn't controlled it would be more chaotic. Missing the bus to campus because the time management on the app was off by a minute or two. ...
