18A: Create A Customer Avatar

My Avatar is a UF college student. Parking is a hassle on campus that is why I decided to make an everyday college student my ideal customer. This avatar comes from a different town and thinks Gainesville is "alright" of a city. He is very studious and will find him on his way to Library West about 4 days a week. If he's not at the library he is probably at Social with the boys because he also needs his "college experience" during his years at UF. He bleeds orange and blue and binge watches Netflix shows like its his night time job. Currently he is watching The Office for the 4th time, because that show never gets old. His daddy paid for a nice new BMW for high school graduation so he loves whipping it around campus blasting drakes new album. He feels like he is on top of the world during these years... but for some reason parking is the only thing that aggravates him every day of the freaking semester. If only there is a way????

I am a college student as well so that is a major similarity we share. I think it is a coincidence because I thought of this idea because it is a struggle I have and I hear all my friends talk about.

  1. I wish I had a BMW from daddy! In all seriousness, though... you did a great job of introducing your avatar and explaining his needs. I, too, think that Gainesville is just "alright"! In mentioning the BMW, though, just a thought for down the road... what about a spin-off of the standard app that extends to vehicle systems. Like a built-in app that's available on the vehicle touch screen?

  2. Thomas, first of all, love the humor. Second, your avatar is rich in detail and realistic to the product you are selling. As a student at UF, you want convivence if it is available for you. If your parents invested in a car for you to come home and to travel around town to save time, why not take your car to campus and save time there?

  3. Your post definitely made me laugh because of the humor you use in your post about UF students. I feel as though I relate with him on the blasting of Drakes new album. I think you did a great job describing your customer and hitting the point at the end that he would need a place to park his nice new BMW.

  4. As always Thomas I really enjoy your posts but especially this one! As everyone in the comments has already mentioned the humor is perfect, and does not take away from the overall message which I thought was really key to perfecting this. I love how detailed you made your avatar because it made me think of people I actually know therefore helping me figure out who your market is to a tee. Overall really great post, would not change anything.
