10A: Elevator Pitch 1
8A: Solving the Problem The opportunity I am emphasizing is creating available parking around crowed areas. The first market I would will be targeting would be Gainesville, around UF area. Parking is always a hassle, whether it be storing your car somewhere for the semester, going to class, or going to study/an event. The solution to this problem is an airbnb platform for parking. People who live in the houses right next to campus can put their empty spaces up for rent and people looking for spots around the area can book them. This is a peer-to-peep parking app which enables the service to solve the problem of parking. Not only homeowners, but businesses as well can take advantage of this too. Basically "Lenders" will advertise their spot at a price they choose and "Users" of the app can open the app up and quickly book that spot. Hi Thomas, I loved the pitch. I like how you show emotion when explaining the problem and your solution. I think that the length of the pitch was perfect and that your idea is very problematic. I also liked how you showed emotion but also remained professional throughout the pitch. It is important to find the right combination between the two and you did a great job.
ReplyDeleteThomas, great job with the elevator pitch. It was clear that you had product knowledge and that you were confident with the background of the product you were talking about. Normally people will be more likely to purchase or at least look into what someone is saying based on how confident their speaking. The only thing I would switch is to have the camera further back so that I can see your hand gestures. That way when you move your hands, I can see what points you’re emphasizing.
